Thanks to all of our 2018 Edgewater 5k Runners!
The 2018 Edgewater 5k took place on October 14th and brought out a little over 630 runners! We had a wonderful time seeing the community come together for a scenic autumn run, and raised proceeds for schools of the 48th Ward in the process. Over 130 students were also sponsored to take part in the 5k thanks to generous Edgewater donors and this year’s event sponsors. Our sponsors and donors also made the St Ignatius Plaza come to life with food, drinks, and all the running gear our racers could ask for!

The Edgewater 5k/ 1mi Walk is open to the general public, running enthusiasts, local residents and business owners, students and parents alike. Children between the ages of 3-5 are eligible to register for the Kids’ Race.
Registration Includes:
- Sport-tek T-Shirt
- Medals for the first 400 5k finishers
- Pancake breakfast*
- Donation to a school of your choice in the 48th Ward
- Beer for those 21+

Course Information
The course begins near the St. Ignatius Plaza (6338 N. Kenmore Ave, Chicago IL, 60660) on the beautiful campus of Loyola University near Kenmore and W Sheridan Rd. From there, the course turns south on Sheridan Road until the entrance to the lakefront path at Ardmore. Runners will turn around on the Lakefront path and return North on Sheridan Rd and finish on the St. Ignatius Plaza.
Jogging strollers and dogs are welcome!
