Spend $30 or more July 26 through August 4 at any local Edgewater small business and keep your receipt while you dine, shop, sip on cocktails during happy hour with friends or catch a play at one of our many local theatres (be sure to take the Edgewater Year of Chicago Theatre pledge).
Living with a #shopedgewater lifestyle helps nurture your local community because it shows residents like you support artists, restaurateurs, small business owners, healthcare & wellness providers, hair stylists and service providers to live and work in your very same neighborhood.
Keeping it local has a significant impact on the local economy. A study by the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce and Civic Economics found that for every $100 you spend at locally owned businesses, $68 will stay in the community as compared to $43 that stays in the community when you shop at a chain. So grab your Edge Card and #shopedgewater!
The Edgewater Chamber celebrates the #shopedgewater campaign by kicking off EdgeFest week with some music! On Friday, July 26 from 7pm – 9pm, all of Broadway from Devon down to Balmoral, streets will hum with live music in front of Edgewater’s 11 participating restaurants during Bands on Broadway.
Ten different bands will play on outdoor seated patios on a beautiful summer evening while patrons wine and dine. Spend $30 or more at any one of the participating Bands on Broadway restaurants and your receipt can be exchanged at EdgeFest for a free beer!
