What to Expect

Santa will greet kids and families on Bryn Mawr CTA Red Line Stop on the South Side and lead the North Pole Parade along Bryn Mawr on his way to Lytle House at 5517 N Broadway! The parade will have several stops at local businesses along Bryn Mawr where special activities await to get everyone in the holiday spirit. To help the crowd stay warm and cheery, Lakeside Pride Music Ensemble brass band will keep the music flowing throughout the stops. Once the crowd and Santa arrive at Lytle House, families, residents and eager holiday enthusiasts will line up to take pictures with Santa.

  • This event is FREE for everyone in town.
  • This event is OUTDOORS so please dress appropriately.
  • The parade starts at Bryn Mawr’s Red Line Stop on the south side.
  • The Lakeside Pride Ensemble will play live holiday music to keep the tempo going and the Sacred Heart School band will also play a set at Lytle House.
  • Participating businesses will have fun freebies available (while supplies last) for families joining us from 4pm – 6pm, even if you can’t make the parade.
  • The last stop on the parade is Lytle House where families can: take pictures with Santa, get free milk & cookies from Edge of Sweetness, enjoy free warm cider courtesy of Conn’s Catering, hear youth carolers sing and enjoy holiday crafts courtesy of RAM Art Studio
  • TK Photography is providing one (1) free digital picture with Santa. You can purchase a print through them for $15.

North Side North Pole Toy Drive

The Edgewater Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a toy drive during the Northside North Pole Parade as well. All residents and community members can drop by Lytle House between 4pm – 6pm on Saturday, December 1 and drop off toys in the labeled depot box. Bring new, unwrapped toys to brighten up a child’s holiday season.

The Northside North Pole’s Toy Drive will donate all items to Edgewater’s very own Care for Real. This year the Toy Drive will contribute all items to Care for Real’s Holiday Toy and Gift Card Drive. Monetary gift certificates with values of $10 or higher are also welcomed to be dropped off at the Lytle House during the event.

Admission & Fees

The best part of the Northside North Pole Parade is that’s it’s TOTALLY FREE! Anyone and everyone can join in at any point along the parade on Bryn Mawr or stop on by at Lytle House to take pictures with Santa. All treats given by businesses along the parade stops are also complementary.

Please note: The first digital picture with Santa is free. If you want additional or printed pictures, there’s a $15 fee to be paid directly to the photographer.
