Edgewater 5k Run/ 1mi Walk

Celebrate our community at Edgewater’s annual lakefront run!

Join us for the annual Edgewater 5k Run/1mi Walk, the only race course that includes Sheridan Road and the lakefront path! The Edgewater 5k is open to everyone from casual runners and walkers to experienced runners. Each registrant can choose a local school to support as part of their race registration. The race raises money for all schools in the 48th Ward, both private and public.  Your investment in today’s students is an investment in the future, as  many of the 48th Ward graduates stay in the community. Since the race began in 2014 we have raised $17,000 for 48th Ward schools.

NEW THIS YEAR! Children ages 3-5 can register to run in Edgewater’s Kids’ Race. This race is open to any child between the ages 3-5 ONLY. Please note the Kids’ Race is separate from the Edgewater 5k/ 1mi Walk and not included in those registration fees. Parents that want their children (ages 3-5 only) to run in the Kids’ Race must register them separately. The $5 registration includes a t-shirt and ribbon. The kids’ race is approximately 50 meters in length.
