EESP is a 501(c)3, composed of local volunteers of Edgewater & the 48th/40th Wards who actively partner with our schools, block clubs, faith groups & elected officials to work for a sustainable future for ourselves & succeeding generations. The topics we work on most are waste reduction, sustainable transportation, a green oasis (includes trees & native plants/ecology), and reducing building's carbon footprints. We host our meetings at 9 am - 10 am on the second Wednesday of each month at Alderman Osterman's office (5533 N Broadway St, Chicago, IL 60640). We will have evening/weekend meetings on occasion, though not regularly, and email out information on those when they are scheduled. We hope you can attend! We are always looking to partner and advance new ideas about sustainability. If you have existing projects, ideas, or want to take action on anything specific, please feel free to let me know.If you're curious and want to learn more, we hope to see you at a meeting or event in the near future! In the meantime, information about EESP including our minutes can be found at www.sustainedgewater.org
